Robbie Williams "DCK" - Singer/Songwriter
DCK's passion for music started around 3 years ago when he was inspired to use his personal struggles to encourage himself and eventually others. He was raised in Fort Worth, TX and although he grew up in a middle class home with both parents, his life was filled with challenges he had to overcome. From being ridiculed for being different in high school to struggling to adjust to college life, DCK has learned to put it all in his music.
With the help of faith, family and his relationship with God, DCK has surrounded his life with positive influences and positive people. He allows zero negativity in "King Nation" a term he uses to describe his motivational movement he started to drive people to strive toward their dreams and goals. DCK is not only an artist, but also an carrier of light through words and sound.

When did you know you wanted to be an artist?
After suffering though bouts of depression during high school with no outlet to express my feelings I was looking for a way to release and music served as the release I needed.
How does your personal story/background influence your work?
Like many artist I draw upon personal experiences when making my music. I sometimes find my background creeping into my music without me trying. It would be hard to find a song of mine without at least the slightest influence from my personal story.
Which of your works are you most proud of?
One of the works I am most proud of is a project called " faith " it was a song created in form of me writing a letter to faith as if it was a person and thanking faith for everything it brought me through.
What is the hardest part about being a professional artist?
The hardest part about being a professional artist is trying to impress the fans and constantly providing them good music while trying to stay true to what you stand for, in todays industry people don't want to hear inspirational and positive music, so trying to catch peoples attention is very hard considering i don't make the kind of music that you would hear on the radio.
What artists inspire you?
The only artist that has inspired me is rapper MGK ( Machine Gun Kelly ). listening to his music also helped me get through depression and hard times after hearing his music and seeing the impact as well as changes in lives he made through music , I wanted to do the same thing with my lyrics and stories.
What advice would you give aspiring artists who come from minority or under-represented groups?
Advice I would give to upcoming artist is always believe in yourself even when no one believes you, never let anyone re write your story that has already been written for you by God that ends in the greatest success also always have faith in everything you do even when doubt circles the air , don't allow the doubt of other damage your faith and ruin everything you've worked for! as i heard Tony Camm say " Build your legend”
