Propose a Public Art Project

Submit a preliminary proposal to James River Council for Arts and Humanities for a public art project using the link below. If your idea aligns with the JRCAH goals, timeline, and budget, then we will be in touch to request further details and a formal proposal. Thank you for your interest in promoting public art in Lynchburg!

Volunteer

Several times a year we need an extra set of hands to help support public art projects in the community. These opportunities can include:

  • Helping during an event: set-up and take-down, ushers, ticket-takers, onsite support, etc.

  • Marketing and communication: social media support, market research, public relations, etc.

  • Fundraising: grant-writing, campaign development, etc.

  • Other: random opportunities to support local art in our community!

There is no task too small, and we can find a volunteer opportunity for anyone -- just add your name to our volunteer email list below and you'll hear from us when the opportunity arises!
