Adrian is a graphic designer currently thriving in Lynchburg, VA. I graduated from Lynchburg College, where I majored in graphic design with a minor in PR and journalism. I kicked off my career working as a designer, and then associate art director at Richmond Magazine. Now that I'm back in Lynchburg, I'm striking out on my own as a freelancer.

When did you know that you wanted to be an artist?
I knew I wanted to be an artist my entire life; I've always been surrounded by the arts and was encouraged by my family to be creative. My grandmother is a professional painter, and some of my favorite childhood memories are spending time in her studio or at art shows. Ultimately I decided to pursue a career in digital arts, and I currently work as a freelance designer.
What is the hardest part about being a professional artist?
Working as a graphic designer, the hardest part can be getting away from the computer. When I'm not designing in front of a screen, I love spending time outdoors; running is my stress relief and hiking is one of my favorite hobbies. A lot of my personal work is inspired by nature, especially when I'm painting or sketching.
