Winterlights on the Bluffwalk (2017)

WinterLights is a project to create vibrant, temporary public art that illuminates the Bluffwalk in mid-to-late winter, attracting visitors to visit downtown by car or on foot from the hour of dusk, 4 PM, until 10 PM each night for four weeks running from February’s First Friday, Feb 3, through February 18.

The public art will be light installations designed, proposed and installed by local individuals and groups on the fencing along Bluffwalk. Want to get involved? We're seeking design proposals from area artists, youth groups, agencies, businesses and individuals.

Over 1,400 people visited WinterLights 2016, we awarded $1,000 in prize money, and we expect a larger turnout in 2018.

The next WinterLights will be postponed to February 2019.  Look for an announcement in the fall of 2018 about next winter's schedule and features.

Thanks very much for your interest and support for our 2016 and 2017 events, and thank you in advance for your interest in 2019!

Many thanks to our collaborators, sponsors and partners
